We are a new church in Woodseats full of all kinds of people. Like most families, we have regular things that we do together. We gather together every Sunday morning 10am in The Message Trust Yorkshire and Humberside Building (The Old Baptist Church) on Tadcaster Way. We gather together every Wednesday evening in smaller community groups. Once a month we gather together to get out onto the streets of Woodseats to love people well through prayer and action. CHRIS’ STORY
The last time I’d been to church for anything other than a funeral, was back during my primary school nativity. So, I came to The Well at Woodseats with no real idea of what to expect. But upon visiting I found a group of incredibly welcoming and friendly people who were completely open to newcomers. I had lots of questions and not much idea about how any of this church-stuff works, but there was no pressure or judgement, and lots of patience. All the things I’d assumed a church was supposed to be; stuffy, boring, old-fashioned, and judgemental, this wasn’t. It was loving, welcoming, modern, chaotic, human, and full of joy.
